Specialized Inspection Services
Aerial Photography
How can aerial photography enhance a standard home inspection? Sometimes a roof is too steep for an inspector to safely inspect it. Other times, bad weather prevents a roof inspection, or the type of roofing material could be easily damaged if the inspector were to walk on it. Certified Professional Inspector Desmond Moreland is a licensed pilot of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (a.k.a. drones). Using our Phantom 4 Pro Drone, Desmond can get a bird’s eye view of your property. Our drone can also be used to photograph surrounding acreage.
Thermal Imaging Inspection
Concerned about a home’s energy efficiency? Is heat being lost through an HVAC leak or faulty window seal? There are a host of problems, efficiency-related and otherwise, that can be detected with our hi-tech infrared camera, which measures surface temperature. At American Home Inspections Tennessee, our inspectors are trained to analyze and interpret the images the camera produces in order to identify problems such as moisture intrusion, pest infestations, and electrical system hot spots. Thermal imaging is included in our standard home inspection.
Radon Testing
Radon is invisible, odorless, tasteless – and potentially deadly. A naturally occurring gas, radon is the second-leading cause of lung cancer and can only be detected with specialized equipment. American Home Inspections Tennessee will employ our continuous radon monitoring system to ensure that you are your family are safe. Click Here to learn more about radon in the state of Tennessee.
